Khulna city election's vote counting started

Voting in Khulna city election ends.Officials have started counting votes after polls closed in the Khulna City Corporation election amid allegations of rigging with violence causing voting suspended at two centres.
The Election Commission, however, said the polls were largely peaceful apart from ‘some isolated incidents’.
Soon after the voting began at 8am, the BNP claimed that its polling agents were either forced out from centres or assaulted by ruling party supporters.
Allegations have also surfaced against Awami League members of stuffing boxes with stamped ballots.
Voting in Khulna city election ends.The ruling Awami League, however, said that the polls were held amid festivity and fanfare and that the BNP ‘resorted to false allegations’ sensing their defeat.
Residents of the southwestern city voted at 289 centres until 4pm on Tuesday to elect mayor and councilors for five years.
