BNP alleges large-scale rigging in Khulna polls

The allegation came on Tuesday when the southwestern city went to polls.
“As soon as the polls opened, BNP representatives have been either forced out or not allowed to enter the voting centres,” senior leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told the media at the party’s headquarters.
He said that Awami League supporters has been threatening it activists for the last few days as well as intimated voters. “Even the TV channels, known to be loyal to the government, reported the rigging and irregularities.”
According to Rizvi, the Election Commission has turned a blind eye to the party’s complains.
“The election commission is a photocopy of the government,” said the BNP joint secretary general.
