Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan KamalDescribing the countrywide crackdown on drugs as an ‘all-out’ war, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal says it will not stop until it’s “totally eradicated.”
Speaking to the media at his office on Sunday, he said, “We are in an all-out war and we have to win it.”
Kamal’s remarks come amid killings of over 70 people in alleged shootouts since the anti-drug raid began over a week ago.
“We have adopted zero tolerance. No one will be spared. A lawmaker is now in jail. I won’t take any name,” he said.
The home minister said that the raid will continue until they have control of the situation. “There is no set time frame.”
