The police are collecting information about drug lords to arrest them, says DMP Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit chief Monirul Islam.
He was talking with the media after conducting a raid at Karail and TTpara slums Saturday night.
“The drug lords are not found in the spot. We are depending on specific intelligence information to nab them. We will arrest them on the basis of intelligence information,” Monir said.He said the government has taken zero tolerance stances against drug and the raids would continue.
“The anti-drug raid would continue and they would be abolished,” he added.
The police arrested 30 people from Karail slum and 22 from TTpara slum. They also recovered 30,000 yaba tablets and 37 kilogram of cannabis.
