A court in Jhinaidah has sentenced a woman to lifetime imprisonment for drug peddling on Sunday (May 27).

The court of Additional Session Judge Mohammad Golam Azam fined the convict Lovely Begum Tk 10000, in default, to suffer one more year in jail.

According to case statement, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Lovely Begum from Arpara of Kaliganj upazila on April 18, 2013 with 44 bottles of Phensedyl.

RAB filed a case in Kaliganj police station, followed by submitting charge sheet by police after investigation.
