JU VC ‘grateful to BCL’ for attack on protesters

In a media call on Tuesday (Nov 5) afternoon, Islam termed the attack that has led to the indefinite shut-down of the university, as a “mass uprising."
“The protesters have been creating many obstacles for the last three months. It’s time we need to think about who want to lead the university to destruction and how they want to do it,” she said.
She added that he allegations of graft against her are untrue, meant to humiliate and harass her. “I will accept whatever punishment handed out to me if the allegations are proven.”
Saying that people are waking up, she added, “I am grateful to my colleagues, students and especially Chhatra League that they have taken the responsibility to do it.”
Following the media call the controversial VC went to the syndicate meeting where the university was announced shut indefinitely.
