N'ganj building collapse: Missing schoolboy found dead

Iftekhar Ahmed Wazid. PHOTO: CollectedRescuers have recovered the body of Iftekhar Ahmed Wazid, 12, the boy who had been missing since the collapse of a four-storied building at Narayanganj’s Baburail area.
Fire Service recovered the dead body around 3: 15 pm on Tuesday (Nov 5), confirmed, Fire Service and Civil Defense Deputy Assistant Director Abdullah al Arefin.
He said that the diving team recovered the body from the first floor of the collapsed building.
“The body has been handed to the family without an autopsy as pet the family’s request,” said Fatullah police OC Aslam Hossain.
On Sunday (Nov 3), the building collapse killed a sixth-grader, Shoeb, and injured at least five others while Wazid had been missing.
OC Hossain said that Shoeb’s mother has filed a case against the five owners of the building. Allegations of constructing the building in violation of the building code have been brought against them.
