Oikya Front finalises delegation for Ganabhaban talks

FOCUS BANGLAGano Forum chief Dr Kamal Hossain-led Jatiya Oikya Front has finalised a 16-strong delegation for the talks with the ruling Awami League on Thursday.
The names were finalised on Tuesday during a meeting at Kamal Hossain’s offices in the capital’s Motijheel.
Last month, Kamal Hossain-led political front Jatiya Oikya Prokriya floated the new alliance with the BNP, ASM Adbur Rab’s Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) and Mahmudur Rahman Manna’s Nagorik Oikya.
“Dr Kamal Hossain will lead the delegation, which consists of 15 others,” Rab told Bangla Tribune on Tuesday after the meeting.
The BNP will be represented by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and National Standing Committee members Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain, Moudud Ahmad, Jamiruddin Sircar and Mirza Abbas.
Mahmudur Rahman Manna and SM Akram will be on the delegation on behalf of Nagorik Oikya while JSD will be represented by its President Rab, Secretary-General Abdul Malek Ratan and Vice-President Tania Rab.
Apart from party chief Dr Kamal Hossain, the Gano Forum will be represented by it Secretary-General Mostofa Mohsin Montu and Executive President Subrata Chowdhury.
Former DUCSU VP Sultan Mohammad Mansur and ABM Mostafa Amin will represent the Jatiya Oikya Prokriya, a loose political group led by Kamal Hossain.
Pro-BNP professionals’ leader Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Zafrullah Chowdhury, who acted as BNP’s liaison during the negotiations before the coalition was launched, is also in the delegation.
