With the 11th Parliamentary election due late December, newly floated anti-government alliance Jatyia Oikya Front has written to Awami League calling the ruling party to hold a dialogue.

The alliance has sent two separate letters, signed by its leader Gano Forum chief Dr Kamal Hossain, on Sunday (Oct 28), addressing AL President, also the Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina and AL Secretary General Obaidul Quader.

Gano Forum Presidium member AKM Jaglul Haidar Afrik and its Joint Secretary AHM Shafiqullah delivered the letter in person at the AL Chief’s Dhanmondi office.

AL Office Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap received the letters on the party’s behalf.

“The letters will be opened tomorrow and then the party will decide whether to reply to those,” said Golap.
