Singapore treatment for Feni madrasa student once condition stabilizes

Dr Samanta Lal Sen, chief coordinator of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit was addressing a media call through video conferencing on Tuesday (Apr 9).The girl in Feni who was burnt cannot be taken to Singapore at this moment, said Samanta Lal Sen, chief coordinator of the burn and plastic surgery unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
He made the comment on Tuesday (Apr 9) morning after having a video conference with Singapore General Hospital.
Doctors at the Singapore General Hospital feel that the girl is in such a precarious condition that she may not be able to withstand five hours of flying time.
The girl will be taken to Singapore once her condition becomes stable, said Dr. Sen.
Dr. Sen added, “We will take the girl to the operation theatre soon and will constantly be in touch with Singapore.”
The victim suffers 80 percent burns, is being treated at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s burns unit.On Monday (Apr 8), the PM ordered the girl to be taken to Singapore for treatment.
Meanwhile, a case has been lodged over the attempt to burn the girl to death.
