Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered immediate arrest of those involved in setting a female madrasa student on fire in Feni.
“The prime minister expressed grave concern over the incident and asked doctors to provide all necessary treatment to the victim," Dr Samanta Lal Sen, coordinator of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery at Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital (DMCH), told the media after visiting the prime minister at her office.
The 18-year-old Alim examinee was set on fire by unidentified miscreants at the terrace of Sonagazi Fazil Degree Madrasa.
The student, who sustained burn injuries on 80 percent of her body in the incident, is being treated at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
