Bangladesh mission in Karachi worried about security situation

Bangladesh-PakistanKarachi-based Bangladeshi diplomats are worried about the security situation of the city after an explosion rocked the Chinese consulate where two police and three attackers were killed.
Head of Bangladesh mission in Karachi Noor-e-Helal Saifur Rahman told Bangla Tribune, “We are worried about the security situation.”
Uniformed and plain-cloth police have been deployed in around our mission for security reason, he said.
“Officials from the foreign ministry also spoke with me,” he added.
He said, “We didn’t ask for extra security as tomorrow and day after tomorrow are weekend and we will decide on Monday.”
The Bangladeshi diplomat such bomb explosion happened in Karachi after a long time.
All the 23 consulate offices in Karachi are located in four square kilometer area, he said.
According to Reuters, Three suicide attackers tried to storm the Chinese consulate in the Pakistani city of Karachi on Friday (Nov 23), but were killed before they could get into the building.
At least two police officers were killed in the attack, which was claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist insurgent group that opposes Chinese projects in the resource-rich southwestern province of Baluchistan.
All Chinese staff at the consulate were safe, Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and China's Foreign Ministry said.
The Chinese consulate is about two kilometer from the Bangladesh mission.
