Three people including a bridegroom have been killed in a road accident involving a tractor and a motorcycle in Jhenaidah.
The incident was reported from Jagusha village of the district's Maheshpur Upazila on Saturday (Jan 31), local police OC Morshed Hossain Khan.
The deceased have been identified as Raju Hossain, 22, and, Nazrul Islam, 48, from Jibanagar upazila of Chuadanga district, and Sabbir Ahmed, 16, from Kotchandpur Upazila of Jhenaidah.
All victims were the riders of the motorbike.
Quoting witnesses police said, the victims were on their way to attend a marriage ceremony riding a motorbike.
"The motorbike collided with soil-laden tractor due to reckless driving," leaving all three riders injured, OC Khan said.
Locals rushed the injured to the local health complex where doctors declared them dead.
The bodies have been kept to state-owned hospital's morgue in the district's town for autopsy.
