Anwar Ali, 38, a Bangladeshi expatriate in KSA gone untraced since Dec 31A Bangladeshi expatriate has gone untraced since Tuesday (Dec 31) in the Saudi Arabian city of Dammam, family says.
The missing person has been identified as Anwar Ali, 38, from Manikganj’s Singair Upazila.
Victim's brother Sher Ali told Bangla Tribune that Anwar left his residence after talking to someone over phone at 11am (local time) on Dec 31.
"Anwar hasn't return and his cell phone has been found switched off since then,,” he added.
According to the family, Anwar went to the kingdom 15 years and worked as a decorator under the supervision of one Saudi national, Al Ibrahim in Dammam's Albadia area.
Family sought help from the Expatriate Welfare ministry, and the Bangladesh mission in Saudi Arabia to find their dear one.
"Steps will be taken after the authorities receive necessary documents including the victim's passport and work permit," said District Employment and Manpower Officer said Mustafizur Rahman.
