Saudi-bound passenger held with 10,800 yaba

Shah Amanat International Airport. File PhotoAs many as 10,800 yaba tablets have been seized from a Saudi Arabia-bound passenger at the Chattogram airport.
According to airport authorities, the contrabands were found in the luggage of Md Yunus, who was travelling on an Umrah visa, on Tuesday (Dec 24).
“Following a luggage scan, Yunus' bags were searched when 10,800 yaba tablets were found in his possession," said Sarwar-E-Zaman, the manager of the Shah Amanat International Airport.

Smuggling charges were pressed against Yunus before handing him over to the local police, he said.
