Debt to freedom fighters can never be paid: Kazi Nabil

Kazi Nabil AhmedJashore-3 MP, Kazi Nabil Ahmed, has expressed deep respect for freedom fighters. He said: “The debt we owe to the freedom fighters can never be paid; it’s because of them we can now breathe and live in a free country.”
Kazi Nabil made the remarks on Monday (Dec 16) at a reception arranged at the Jashore Town Hall in honour of the families of freedom fighters.
Addressing freedom fighters present at the programme he said: “Those of who can still remember those days, write them down, if you have difficulty writing then take the help of students and record your experiences so the progeny will be able to learn about your valour.”
“One day, we will not be here, there will be a new president, PM, DCs and MPs but no one will be able to be a freedom fighter anymore so we need to preserve your experiences of courage and gallantry.”
Commenting on the honorarium of the freedom fighters, he said: “Leader of masses and daughter of Bangabandhu, Sheikh Hasina, has raised the stipend for freedom fighters to Tk 10,000 and provided support for constructing homes for them.”
To build Bangabandhu’s Bengal of gold she is working tirelessly and with your support, she has made Bangladesh a role model for development; today, Bangladesh is ahead of both India-Pakistan is several development markers, said the AL member of parliament.
At the event, Jashore district administrator, Shafiul Arif, UNO Muhammad Ibrahim, Jashore police SP Mainul Huq, Mujib bhahini head Ali Hossain Monu, district AL president Shahidul Islam Milon and others were present.
Earlier in the day, Kazi Nabil Ahmed, laid flower wreaths at the victory pillar and paid respect to the martyrs.
