Mishrat Jahan Mishu has been produced in court on Monday (Dec 9)A court in Barishal has granted police three days to grill one suspect in custody in charge of the triple murders case at Barishal’s Banaripara Upazila.
The suspect, deceased Mariam’s daughter-in-law Mishrat Jahan Mishu was arrested on Sunday (Dec 8) over alleged involvement in the murder case at the upazila’s Saliyabakpur Union.
District judicial magistrate Moniruzzaman passed the order on Monday (Dec 9) after police sought five days to grill Mishu.
Banaripara police OC Shishir Kumar Pal said, Mishu’s involvement in the murders has been assumed from the confessional deposition of Jakir Hossain and Juel Howlader, who have been arrested in charge of the case on Saturday (Dec 7).
Demanding proper punishment for the murderers, Mishu’s husband Abdur Rab said, “No innocent should be harassed.”

Three members of a family were killed in their own house at the union's Shakhari village on Friday (Dec 6) night. Mishu claimed she was asleep at the time of the incident and later found her mother-in-law dead on the balcony.
