Three people were killed and two others injured as a bus crashed into a three-wheeler auto-rickshaw at Musallibari area in Mathbaria Upazila on Sunday (Dec 8) morning.

Two of the deceased were identified as Abu Jafar, 65, and Belal, 35, residents of Debipur in the upazila.

A Pirojpur bound bus hit the auto-rickshaw, killing three persons and injuring two others, said Masuduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Mathbaria Police Station.

The injured were sent to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barishal, he added.

They also seized the bus but its driver and helper managed to flee the scene, the OC added.
