A Bangladesh Bank official has died in Thailand.
The incident happened Wednesday when Rashedul Bashar, an assistant director of the central bank, was swimming in a pool at a residential hotel.
He went to Thailand on May 6 on an one-year scholarship, said his uncle Ekram Chowdhury.
His dead body will be brought to Chattogram by Biman on Thursday and after funeral prayer, he will be buried there.
