An officer with the Kotwali Police Station in Jashore has been removed on charges of consuming contrabands.
Sub-Inspector Amiruzzaman has been attached to the Police Lines after a video of him consuming methamphetamine-based Yaba pills emerged on the social media, Kotwali police OC Moniruzzaman said.
A recent video on social media showed the police officer and two others consuming yaba pills, the OC said before adding: “The Jashore superintendent of police has initiated actions against him.
