Bus services to all routes in Bhola and launch services on the Bhola-Barisal route have been suspended.
The transport routes were suspended, following a restriction imposed by the deputy commissioner's (DC) office Friday (Oct 25) morning.
Earlier on Sunday (Oct 20), Sarbadoliya Muslim Oikya Parishad (All-Party Muslim Unity Council) brought out a procession in Borhanuddin Bazar protesting the screenshots from a Facebook account user Biplob Chandra Shuvo “hurting religious sensitivities”
The protest triggered a clash between police and villagers that left four people dead and over a hundred injured.
Biplob, however, filed a general diary alleging his Facebook account was hacked on the previous day of the incident.
The written prohibition, signed by Bhola Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Masum Alam, stated that the ban was imposed to maintain law and order in the current unrest.
