Police vehicle's gas-cylinder blast kills 3 in Tangail

nonameThree passengers of a microbus were killed and four others, including three policemen injured as its gas-cylinder exploded at Kumudini College intersection in the district town early Tuesday.
The victims were identified as the abducted school-girl Jannatul Ferdous Bonna, 19, cousin Sirajul Islam, 55, and Faruk Hossain, 42.
A team of Sonargaon Police of Narayanganj went to Rajshahi to occupy accused person of an abduction case, said the OC of Tangail Model Police Station Saidur Rahman and Tangail Fire Services Senior Station officer Abdur Razzaq.
On the way back to Narayanganj, after refuelling gas from Tangail, the gas-cylinder of the microbus carrying seven passengers exploded in the area around 4am, leaving the three dead on the spot and four others injured, the OC said.
The injured were admitted to Tangail General Hospital, the police officer added.
