Police have dug out four sets of army uniforms and weapons from Cox’s Bazar’s Ukhiya Upazila.
The weapons and uniforms were recovered from Haldia Palong union’s Barabil area late on Friday (Sept 6) evening, confirmed Ukhiya police OC Abdul Mansur.
He said police raided the area based on a tip-off and discovered the weapons and uniforms.
“It is being suspected that a crime ring buried these to be used later,” he said and added that details cannot be provided until the investigation end.
OC Mansur said that they recovered two rifles, guns, ammunition and cartridge from the scene which have been kept in police custody.
