A young man, Tuhin Hossain, 23, allegedly hacked three of his family members to death at Shona Padma village in Bera Upazila early Wednesday.

The victims were identified as Tuhin’s mother, Buli Khatun, 40, his younger brother, Tushar Hossain, 10, and his maternal aunt Nosimon Khatun, 45, said Goutam Kumar Biswas, additional superintendent of Pabna Police.
Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ashish Bin Hasan, said that Tuhin stabbed his mother, brother and maternal aunt with a sharp weapon while they were asleep in a room around 4am.
Police recovered the bodies from the spot.
Suspected Tuhin is fugitive following the incident and the reason of the killing is not clear, he added.
However, police feel family feud was behind the incident.
