Former Sylhet mayor Badruddin Ahmed Kamran has submitted his nomination paper to contest the Sylhet city polls once again on Awami League’s ticket.
Flanked by the party leaders and activists, Kamran submitted the documents to the district election office at 1:30am on Thursday.
Earlier, the ruling AL, on Jun 22, picked its mayoral candidates for the July 30 elections to three city corporations including that of Kamran for Sylhet city.
Speaking to media after nomination submission, Kamran said, “The party has chosen me to run for the polls, so we all have to work together forgetting all conflicts to ensure the victory for AL.”
