Newly appointed Army Chief Aziz Ahmed paid tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his mausoleum at Tungipara of Gopalganj on Wednesday.
The Army Chief paid his homage placing a floral wreath at the shrine of Bangabandhu around 10:15am.
A smartly turned out contingent of army presented a guard of honour to the Army Chief.
Later, he offered Fateha and joined a prayer seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu.
The GOC of 55 Infantry Division Major General Nayeem Ashfaq Chowdhury, SBP, OSP, PSC and 105 infantry brigade commander brigadier general SM Salahuddin Islam and others were present at the occasion.
