River transport movement along the Shimulia-Kathalbari water route has resumed after being halted for 20 minutes due to bad weather.
Transport movement on that route was halted from 9:40 am to 10 am on Tuesday (Jun 4).
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Traffic Inspector Md Suleman said ferry, launch and speedboat services were cancelled following squally winds and strong currents in Padma river.
According to Munshiganj’s Lauhajong UNO Md Kabirul Islam loaded ferries left the terminal after the weather improved.
