Eight people were killed and 10 injured during a collision between a bus and a human hauler, locally known as ‘leguna’ at Sirajganj.
The incident was reported from the Bogura-Nagarbari highway at the district’s Ullapara upazila on Sunday (Jun 2), confirmed Shahjadpur OC Abdul Quader Zilani.
“A Pabna Express bus collided with the Hatikumrul-bound leguna, killing eight people on the spot and injuring 10,” he said.
He added that the injured have been taken to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital and Shakhwat Memorial Hospital.
The bodies, two of which have been identified, has been kept at the police station.
