A local leader of the ruling Awami League’s student front has been found dead in Madaripur, says police.

The victim, identified as Limon Mazumder, served as the vice president of the Bangladesh Chhatra League's Madaripur District unit.

“He was found hanged at a under construction building in the city’s Amirabad area early on Monday (Mar 25),” Madaripur Sadar police OC Kamrul Hasan told Bangla Tribune.

“The body has been sent to Madaripur Sadar Hospital for autopsy,” said OC Hasan before adding, “A case has been started over the incident.”
