Three people have died in Sylhet when lighting struck them on a backswamp near the district town.
The incident was reported Saturday evening from the Zilkar Haor, said OC Md Shafiqul Islam of the Jalalabad Police Station of the city.
The victims have been identified as brothers Babul Mia, 20, and Emon Mia, 10, and their cousin 16-year-old Abdul Amin.
Witnessed said they had gone to the backswamp for fishing, when the lighting struck them. Other fishermen rushed them to the Osmani Medical College Hospital, where they were declared dead.
