As many as 18 workers injured after an under construction building collapsed at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University in Tangail.

The incident occurred late on Tuesday (Mar 12), Proctor of the university Sirajul Islam told Bangla Tribune.

“Being informed, we rushed to the spot and rescued the victims,” said Tangail Fire Service station official Mamun Mia.

“They were admitted at Tangail General Hospital,” added Mia.

“Three of the injured have been released from the hospital after providing initial treatments and 15 workers are still admitted at the hospital,” said Islam before adding, “Three of them are in critical condition.”
