Police have recovered the body of a sex-worker with her throat slit, from Rajbari’s Doulatia brothel.
The deceased is twenty-five-year-old Neela, whose body was recovered on Sunday (Jan 6) evening, confirmed Goaland Ghat police OC Ejaz Shafi
According to police sources, an unidentified man entered Neela’s room in the guise of a customer. The residents of the brothel later found her dead, with her throat slit off.
Shafi said that in addition to the body, they have also recovered a knife from the scene, which is the murder weapon.
He added that they were working to arrest the perpetrator.
