Several people died in Nilphamari after monsoon storm ripped through the northern district late on Thursday.
District administration chief Md Khaled Rahim said on Friday that seven deaths, including women and children, have been reported.
Deputy Commissioner Rahim said they have the process to assess the losses in the storm has started.
The Nor'wester, which lasted for 30 minutes, left trees uprooted and houses destroyed in the Upazilas of Domar, Dimla and Jaldhaka.
The storm caused power supply in several villages to be snapped while the local agriculture department office said the Boro crop was severely damaged.
