The people will change the country’s entire scenario through casting their votes, says BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
“People have changed the situations always,” Mirza Fakhrul said on Thursday (Dec 29).
Speaking to the reporters after meeting the Thakurgaon’s returning officer, the senior BNP leader urged the party activists to help people arrive in the polling stations.
“Guard the voting centres and stay alert so that no one can steal votes,” said Mirza Fakhrul, who is the spokesperson of opposition alliance Jatiya Oikya Front.
Claiming no internal-feud in BNP, Mirza Fakhrul said, “BNP has joined in the polls and will stay till the end.
“Cyberwar is going on to spread false and fabricated information as well as rumours and these are the government’s plans,” he said.
On the arrest of party leaders and activists, Mirza Fakhrul said, “The authorities concerned have been informed on the matter.
“However, the arrest won’t affect the general voters as well as the rest of the party activist,” he said
