The BNP has proved that they are siding with the Pakistanis by allowing anti-Liberation party Jamaat-e-Islami to contest the polls with its logo ‘paddy sheaf,’ says Awami League’s (AL) Jashore-3 candidate Kazi Nabil Ahmed.
“We must not forget that their aim is to destabilise the country in collusion with ISIS and Pakistan,” he said while addressing a meeting of AL activists on Tuesday (Dec 11) at Jashore.
“We want to celebrate 50 years of independence under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, and to do so that we must put aside any petty agendas and grudges,” he added.
He said that Dec 30 is a big day for Awami League, adding, “We must convince people to vote for Boat. If we win we can hear all your grievances but if we can’t, these petty grudges will lead to difficult consequences.”The incumbent Member of Parliament said that the whole world is mesmerized by Hasina’s contribution to the development of Bangladesh.
“Jashore is not lagging behind in the race of development either,” he said adding, “Sheikh Hasina has termed Jashore as the first digital district.”
Drawing on the various developments Jashore has undergone during the AL regime, he said that after Dhaka and Chattogram, the Jashore-Khulna area is set to become a third economic zone as soon as construction of Padma bridge is complete.
Kazi Nabil called for all leaders to help ensure an AL win to keep the development of the country ongoing.
