Two ‘drug peddlers’ held in Jashore

3,945 pieces of contraband yaba and 138 bottles of liquor were seized during the raids.Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized a large amount of narcotics during multiple raids at Jashore’s Sharsha and Benapole Upazila.
BGB officials said that they led raids in different villages of the upazila based on a tip-off on Friday (Nov 30).
21 BGB captain Lt Col Imran told Bangla Tribune that 800 bottles of phensedyl, 3,945 pieces of contraband yaba and 138 bottles of liquor were seized during the raids.
Two ‘drug peddlers’ that BGB identified as Nahid Hasan, 20 and Abdul Jabbar, 20 were detained for being in alleged possession of the banned substances.
Hassan was allegedly caught with 509 bottles of phensydyl from Britti Achra village of Benapole Upazila while Jabbar was caught from Tengrali village of Sharsha upazila with 293 bottles of phensydyl and 38 bottles of liquor.
