BNP Vice Chairman and candidate for the Sylhet 1 constituency, Enam Ahmed Chowdhury made a courtesy call at Finance Minister AMA Muhith’s residence in Sylhet on Thursday (Nov 29).
According to sources, Enam Ahmed, a retired bureaucrat discussed the political history of the northeastern district with the finance minister.
They both agreed on ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for the upcoming polls so that nothing hampers the political harmony of Sylhet.
“I admire the finance minister and have been lucky enough to work with him since my student days. He congratulated me on securing the candidacy,” said Inam Ahmed Chowdhury.
The Awami League candidate for the same constituency and the minister’s younger brother Dr AK Abdul Momen was also present during the visit.
