A court in Kushtis has sentenced three people to death for killing a schoolboy in 2011.
Judge of the Woman and Child Repression Control Tribunal Munshi M Mashiur Rahman handed down the verdict on Thursday morning.
The convicts are Mohammad Sabbir Khan, Helal Uddin Danny and Abdul Rahim Sheikh. Of them, only Sabbir was present at the court while rest are at-large.
Motasim Bin Majed alias Hridoy, a class eight student of Kushtia District School, was kidnapped on May 23, 2011.

The kidnappers sought Tk 1.2 million in ransom. Hridoy’s family gave Tk 200,000 to the kidnappers, but his body was later found, 143 days after the kidnapping, in the Boro Mile area.
