Three people have been killed and 10 other injured in a road accident on Rajshahi -Natore highway in northern district of Rajshahi, police said.

The incident was reported from Tarapur area of the district’s Puthia Upazila on late Thursday.

Puthia police OC Shakil Ahmed said, “A Dhaka-bound bus of Shyamoli Paribahan, coming from Rajshahi, hit a standing sand-laden truck in the area at 12am, leaving three dead on the spot and several others wounded.”

The deceased were the truck driver, his assistant and a worker, whose details were not available.

The injured werr admitted to local hospital and the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, said Ahmed.
