A toddler has died after drowning at a pond in Jhenaidah.
The incident was reported from Debtola village of the district’s Shailkupa upazila on Monday morning, said police.
The victim has been identified as Taskin who was only one and a half year old.
Shailkupa police OC Ayubur Rahman said, “Taskin fell down in a pond near his residence while he was playing. Later family rushed him to upazila health complex where the doctors declared him dead.”
