The Indian envoy also visits the floating guava markets in Kuriana and Bhimruli areas of the coastal district of Pirojpur.Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla has said India will remain next to Bangladesh during its well and woes.

“India was beside the people of Bangladesh during its 1971 Liberation War and will remain next to Bangladesh during its well and woes forever,” Shringla said, speaking at a civic meeting at the Kabiguru Rabindranath Degree College in Kuriana Union of the district on Sunday (Sept 9).

Earlier, the Indian envoy visited the floating guava markets in Kuriana and Bhimruli areas.

He said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi sowed the seed of good relation between Bangladesh and India. “Now, the relation has further been strengthened under the leadership of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Shringla added.

First Secretaries of the Indian High Commission Rajesh Uke and Nabanita Chakrabarti accompanied him during the visit.
