Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a 3rd suspect in connection with the killing of Pabna journalist Suborna Nodi.
RAB arrested Shamsuzzaman Milon, 40, on Saturday night, who is an employee Abul Hossain, one of the prime suspects named in the case and the father of Nodi’s ex-husband.
Milon is the Manager in a pharmaceutical company that Hossain owns, he added.
RAB will brief the media on the arrest later on Sunday.
Thirty-two-year-old Nodi was hacked to death in front of her residence late on Aug 28. Nodi’s family filed a case making her ex-husband Razib and his father Abul Hossain the prime suspects.
Family claimed that Nodi identified her attackers on her deathbed.
“She told me the names of Razib, her husband, his aide Milon and several others who attacked her while I met her at the hospital. Suborna also demanded their death sentence”, her mother Morzina told Bnagla Tribune.
Nodi was the editor and publisher of ‘Daily Jagroto Bangla’ and the local correspondent of private satellite channel ‘Ananda TV’.
