UP member occupies madrasa field in Mongla

A local says that UP member Motiur Rahman had occupied the field three years ago to grow fodder for his cows.A UP member in Mongla is accused of occupying the field of a madrasa to use it for grass cultivation. As a result, madrasa students are facing difficulty as they are deprived of playing space.
Principal of the madrasa, Humayun Kabir, told Bangla Tribune, at the order of the president of the madrasa committee, I gave permission to grow grass, which is creating problems for students.”
Several efforts to reach madrasa committee chairman, Mollah Tariqul Islam, over the phone, failed.
A local says that UP member Motiur Rahman had occupied the field three years ago to grow fodder for his cows.
The local also said that the principal of the madrasa colludes with the UP member.
Moti member admitted to the accusation of field occupation, saying, “Yes, I am using the field to grow a variety of vegetables; but I will leave it once the grass grows bigger.”
Rabiul Islam, the UNO, said, “I did not know of the occupation and will take action immediately.”
