An accident has killed three people and injured five others in Dhaka.
The incident was reported from district’s Savar Upazila on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway near Baliarpur area on Monday morning, said police.
The victims have been identified as Md Zahirul Islam, 40, Nurunnaby, 38 and Khalil, 35.
Savar police OC Sazzadur Rahman said, “A Dhaka bound pickup van hit a truck when it lost the control left eight people injured. The injured were admitted to Savar Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctors declared three of them dead.”
“The bodies are kept at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in Dhaka for autopsy,” he added.
