Police found three Rohingya men’s cutthroat bodies from Teknaf Upazila’s Chakmarkul hilly area of Cox’s Bazar on Monday, said Sub Inspector (SI) of Howaikong Police Post Dipankar Karmakar.
Police recovered the bodies around 9am from the area near a Rohingya refugee makeshift based on information, the SI said.
They were admitted to Cox’s Bazar state-run hospital soon with slit in the neck, he added.
The three were attempted to be killed by slaughtering. Perpetrators and motif are still unknown.
Teknaf Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ranjeet Kumar Barua said at around 10:30 am, three youths rescued from the hills were rescued. They are still alive. They have been sent to Cox's Bazar for treatment.
