All banks and non-banking financial institutions in the capital Dhaka will remain closed on Saturday (Feb 1) due to the elections to the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) elections.
A Bangladesh Bank circular to the chief executives of the banks on Wednesday (Jan 29) said, the public administration announced a general holiday on Saturday for the Dhaka city polls. The scheduled banks and its headquarters will be closed to exercise voting of the staff of the bank.
