Describing Awami League (AL) as a beehive, party’s publicity and publication secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud said AL reacts when it is hit.
“The leader told us to be quiet but, we will not be indifferent on the onslaught of conspiracy.”
Mahmud came up with the remarks while speaking at a discussion held by Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Parishad at the capital’s National Press Club on Friday.
Alleging that the vested quarters hatching conspiracies in August he reaffirmed party’s stand over the students’ protest for safe roads.
“From the onset of the movement AL supported the students but some reactionary groups tried to convert it into different directions. BNP-Jamaat goons infiltrated into the event”, he claimed.
Hasan Mahmud also criticized Dr Kamal Hossain for his remark regarding the students’ demonstration.
BNP-Jamaat alliance failed to hatch the politically motivated outcome of the movement, he also said.
The senior AL leader instructed the party activists to remain vigilant over conspiracies stressing, “Those who frustrated this time, they will finally lose their hopes in December.”
