Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) will repel any attempt to celebrate BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s birthday on National Mourning Day Aug 15, warned BCL General Secretary Golam Rabbani.
Until the last BCL man exists, BNP will not let to celebrate Khaleda Zia’s birthday on Aug 15, he said adding, “We will prevent it in all places.”
The pro-government student wing leader sounded the warning in an anti-terrorism rally held by BCL on Dhaka University campus on Aug 9.
Referring to spreading of rumours on Facebook, Rabbani said that some 700 FB accounts have been identified.
“Action will be taken who are behind the vicious move to make BCL a terrorist organisation”, he added.
BCL President Rezwanul Haque Shovon also alleged, “Communal forces are trying to portray BCL, which led the liberation war of Bangladesh, as a terrorist organisation.”
