Bangladesh has proposed to postpone the D8 Summit, scheduled to take place in Bangladesh on May 30-31.
Foreign Minister Ak Abdul Momen has sent a letter in this regard to Turkey, the current chair of D8, says a press release.
Dhaka has taken all the necessary preparation to hold the summit and some heads of the states and governments formally and informally agreed to attend it.
The D-8 comprised of Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.
