Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader has alleged that BNP-Jamaat alliance and its communal forces have been infiltrated in the logical demonstration for safe roads of the students.
They are hatching conspiracies centring the movement, he said.
“We have smelt the rat behind the logical protestation. The group tried to capitalize their agenda by turning the quota reform movement in their way and the evil force is continuing the same effort now.”
The senior AL leader also renewed his call to the students not to get confused with any propaganda.
Obaidul Quader made the remark after a joint meeting in party’s headquarters in the capital on Friday.
Saying many honourable men were harassed on the road, he alleged that the infiltrators did so, students didn’t.
AL leaders and activists are instructed to stay vigilant with patience over the incidents, he added.
Referring to the nine-point demand raised by the students, the top AL leader said, adding, “We have taken all the demands in consideration and an underpass will be built before Shaheed Ramijuddinn College soon.”
Hailing the voice of the teenage students, the Bridges minister requested them to be calm.
He also sought cooperation from all to make necessary reform in the coming days.
The government didn’t sit idle over the issue as the perpetrators were held just after the accident, he concluded.
